FELLOWSHIP HIGHLIGHTS
- ACGME (Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education) accredited
- Dedicated training in clinical Abdominal Radiology and Intervention and with elective month
- High volume and excellent variety of clinical cases – geared towards either academic or private practice careers
- 800+ bed County hospital with Level-1 Trauma Center, 900+ bed University hospital system with large Transplant Center and NCI-designated Cancer Center; multiple outpatient imaging centers
- Advanced abdominal imaging techniques including Spectral CT, Contrast-enhanced Ultrasound, Ultrasound Elastography, Ultrasound Fat Quantification, CT Colonography, and more!
- Hepatobiliary MRI (incl. MR Elastography, iron/fat quantification); RCC imaging; Pancreas MRI/MRCP; Prostate MRI; Rectal Cancer MRI; Benign/Malignant Female Pelvis MRI; Pelvic Floor MRI/MR Defecography; MR Enterography; Oncologic MRI; Emergency MRI; MR angiography/venography
- CT/US guided procedures as well as unique procedure training opportunities including in-bore MRI-guided prostate biopsies and ablations
- PET/CT and PET/MRI
- Artificial Intelligence programs in clinical use
- Ability to tailor the fellowship. Choose from abdominal or non-abdominal clinical electives
- 26 Abdominal Radiology and Intervention faculty, 17 fellowship-trained Body MRI faculty, including multiple prior fellows who have stayed on as faculty
- Dedicated academic time and academic enrichment fund for each fellow
- Dedicated fellow lecture curriculum, multidisciplinary conferences
- Opportunities to collaborate on research and quality improvement with faculty members
- >20 CT and >50 US machines from different vendors, including 6 Spectral CT scanners
- >20 clinical MRI magnets & a PET/MR Scanner
- Multiple manufacturers – 9 state-of-the-art 3T MRIs
- Dedicated home workstation for each fellow
- Tele-conference and virtual readout capabilities available at each workstation
- Support for attendance and participation at national radiology society meetings
- Department offers American Board of Radiology Alternate Pathway
