Description

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures under the direction of authorized physicians. Responsibilities include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing imaging procedures, maintaining regulatory documentation, ensuring patient safety, and providing clear patient instruction and support. This role requires strong technical skills, independent judgment, and the ability to care for patients across all age groups. The technologist reports to the Nuclear Medicine Chief Technologist.

Requirements

Education

• BS in Nuclear Medicine Technology preferred
• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program or within 6 months of graduation

Licensure/Certification

• Boardeligible for NMTCB and/or ARRT(N) within 12 months of hire
• Must obtain certification (NMTCB or ARRT(N)) within 12 months to maintain employment

Experience

• Prior Nuclear Medicine or hospital experience preferred
