Lincoln Memorial University’s DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (LMU-DCOM) is seeking a Part-Time Ultrasound Technologist – Anatomy Education Support to help bring anatomy to life through ultrasound-enhanced learning experiences for medical students at our Orange Park, Florida campus.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced sonographer to combine technical expertise with education in an academic medical environment. Rather than a traditional clinical imaging role, this position focuses on teaching and demonstrating ultrasound techniques in the anatomy laboratory, helping medical students better understand anatomy, physiologic structures, and anatomic relationships through real-time imaging.

What You’ll Do The Ultrasound Technologist – Anatomy Education Support will:
Facilitate and demonstrate ultrasound scanning techniques in the anatomy laboratory
Support integration of ultrasound into the preclinical medical curriculum
Help students identify anatomic structures and physiologic relationships using ultrasound imaging
Assist with image optimization and instructional support during hands-on learning sessions
Collaborate with anatomy faculty, clinicians, and educational staff to deliver engaging educational experiences
Support lab-based ultrasound instruction and equipment setup
Required Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), RVT, or equivalent credential
Demonstrated proficiency in:
Ultrasound imaging
Anatomy identification
Image optimization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an interest in education
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience teaching, training, or mentoring learners (medical students, residents, or allied health students)
Familiarity with anatomy education, cadaver labs, or medical school curricula
Experience with Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) applications
Academic medical center or teaching hospital experience
Physical Demands
Ability to stand for extended periods in lab settings
Manual dexterity to perform ultrasound scanning and equipment setup
Occasional lifting or repositioning of ultrasound equipment

Required Qualifications
