The Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester (URMC) in Rochester, NY, is seeking an energetic, inspirational, and accomplished radiologist to lead the abdominal imaging division.
This individual will lead a growing team of outstanding abdominal radiologists dedicated to the highest quality outcomes and educational innovation. Imaging Sciences has long history of excellence in research particularly in the areas of optics and ultrasound, as well as artificial intelligence.
The division presently consists of 13 faculty members supported by licensed professional extenders and a dedicated radiology communication center. We provide diagnostic imaging and teaching at the primary medical center and collaborate with superb clinical colleagues. Biopsies and other invasive procedures are performed by a separate interventional division. Overnight coverage is provided by a separate emergency radiology division.
There are many opportunities to develop research in collaboration with clinical colleagues as well as basic science/engineering groups at the university. Multiple academic activity tracks allow promotion through scholarly education or clinical activity.
Compensation and benefit packages are highly competitive, including tuition benefits. Requirements include ABR certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology and fellowship training or equivalent experience in abdominal imaging and a strong commitment to leadership development. Candidates should have or be eligible to obtain a New York State Medical License.
Recognized as a world leader in radiological imaging, education, and research, the Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester has approximately 90 faculty and is highly innovative with transparent salary and incentive structures, upper limit of weekend coverage hours, and a residency leadership program. Technical highlights include a clinical PET/MRI, dual energy CT scanners, and ultrafast MRI (GE Premier upgraded). The PACS system is integrated across the enterprise. Rochester is a mid-sized city with extensive cultural and recreational opportunities. These include the Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester Museum and Science Center, Strong Museum of Play, the George Eastman Museum, Seneca Zoo, multiple theaters hosting Broadway plays, and numerous outdoor summer festivals. Annual Salary $483,900 - $524,700
Additional compensation in form of clinical and non-clinical incentives.
