Carilion Clinic is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologist with fellowship training to join the Radiology Department at the Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.

Expectations include the following:
Interpretation of general radiology studies including MR, CT, ultrasound, and radiographs
Light procedural work including joint injections/arthrograms, lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, and paracentesis.
Performing other interventional studies is possible, although most advanced interventional procedures will be performed by dedicated Interventional Radiologists.
It is possible that more dedicated time may be spent in the area of the applicant’s fellowship training.
Mammography is preferred but not required.

Aspects of the practice include all modalities except angiography. Equipment includes:

MR - 1.5T Siemens Aera, and 3T Siemens Skyra
3 CT Systems including a dual energy Siemens Edge Plus system.
3 Siemens 3D mammography units
5 Phillips Epiq Ultrasound units
2 fluoroscopy units, 4 Xray rooms
Nuclear Medicine - 2 SMV/GE cameras
PET-CT - Siemens mobile unit, three days per week
SECTRA PACS, Powerscribe 360 voice recognition, and Syngo.Via and Terarecon for advanced 3D reconstructions.

Minimum Qualifications include:

ABMS-BC/BE in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
If board eligible, must have plan in place to sit for Boards
Fellowship training is preferred with flexible specialty
Active and unencumbered medical license with eligibility for licensure in Virginia
Competent in all aspects of diagnostic radiology

The posted salary range may not reflect the full value of the total compensation package. You are eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary. Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary. In addition, comprehensive benefits and pension offerings further enhance the overall rewards package.
