We are currently seeking a Sonographer/Ultrasound Technician to join our growing Denver and Lafayette teams. If you’re passionate about women’s health and want to make a meaningful impact every day, this is your opportunity.
Hours will be 4 days a week, 7am-4:30pm.
Job Purpose: The Sonographer is responsible for providing detailed ultrasound imaging of the female reproductive system to help identify the causes of infertility and to guide fertility treatments.
Essential Functions and Accountabilities:
- Collaborates with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments
- Establishes personal rapport with patients
- Provides explanations of procedures
- Performs detailed sonographic examinations of female reproductive systems and identifies abnormalities
- Responsible for generating and documenting ultrasound reports for physician interpretation
- Procedure set-up, following all sterile precautions
- Performs and provides explanations of procedures, including Sonohysterograms, FemVue, and Ultrasound guidance for embryo transfers
- Tracks fetal growth and development up to 9 weeks gestational age
- Maintains ultrasound equipment
- Orders ultrasound supplies and keeps rooms stocked
- Travel to other Company locations as needed
- Rotating holiday and weekend shift coverage
Requirements
Academic Training:
- Completion of formal Ultrasound training - required
- ARDMS certification with OB/GYN specialization - required within 90 days of hire
- Current BLS Certification - required within 60 days of hire
Position Requirements/Experience:
- Previous experience in women's health or reproductive endocrinology and infertility – preferred
- 2- 4 years of experience as an ultrasound technologist – preferred
Technical Skills:
- Ability to effectively operate all pieces of equipment utilized within the scope of this job
- Proficient in computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook preferred.
