Lee Health seeks a Breast Ultrasound Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic and interventional breast imaging within our patient-centered, not-for-profit system. In this role, you’ll conduct targeted breast ultrasound exams, support procedures, ensure compassionate patient care, and collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll help advance community health through accurate imaging, safety, and continuous learning while working in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment serving Southwest Florida residents.
Perform high-quality breast ultrasound exams and document findings per Lee Health protocols
Support diagnostic and interventional breast procedures in collaboration with radiologists
Ensure patient identification, safety, and comfort throughout the imaging experience
Optimize and maintain ultrasound equipment; report and troubleshoot technical issues
Accurately document and transmit images and reports via PACS/EMR systems
Educate patients on procedures, follow-up steps, and breast health awareness
Collaborate with technologists, nurses, and providers to coordinate timely care
Adhere to infection-control, quality, and regulatory standards and policies
Breast ultrasound imaging
Mammography adjunct imaging familiarity
Patient positioning and comfort
Operation of ultrasound equipment
Image optimization and quality assurance
Anatomy and pathology recognition
PACS and EMR documentation
Aseptic and infection-control techniques

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Breast (BR) or AB specialty preferred
ARDMS or ARRT(S) credential in good standing
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Experience in a dedicated breast center or women’s imaging program preferred
